We service the education, government, and commercial markets, focusing on full-cycle solutions that support the needs of institutions we partner with. As our company continues to grow, we are looking for a Regional Sales Engineer to drive our sales strategy in the Michigan market.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain positive and productive relationships with decision makers and influencers within the assigned territory
  • Develop new accounts by selling direct to end-users
  • Build professional business partnerships with existing client base
  • Provide value-added products and services to new and current customers
  • Drive sales growth in assigned territory by developing and executing geographically targeted campaigns
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers and electrical contractors to craft winning solutions for customers
  • Contribute to the sales team effort by sharing intelligence, attending meetings and help foster a positive team attitude
  • Plan and organize personal sales strategy to maximize your time within assigned territory
  • Create accurate and effective proposals using the companies quoting system
  • Maintain up to date sales forecast within the CRM on a weekly basis
  • Document and record all sales calls, customer meetings and intelligence gathered in the field within the CRM on a daily basis

 

Desired Skills and Background

  • Knowledge of the construction industry sales process
  • 1-3 years of technical sales experience
  • Knowledge of fire code and system design
  • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings
  • Experience with selling service-based solutions to institutional and commercial customers
  • Background in fire and security technical product sales
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with key-decision makers in customer accounts
  • Excellent time management capabilities
